Treebeard with Darkling Thrush
Just spent two days with my artist Bryan Childs in Olympia Wa. We brought Treebeard ('green wisdom') to life with color, added the Darklinng Thrush ('green hope'), and started on Herne/Cernunnos ('green action'). Since Cernunnos represents both hunter and hunted, we also added in a cameo appearance by Artemis/Dianna, Greek Goddess of nature.
Treebeard will eventually run all the way down my left arm, with my fingers as the roots. The scene with Herne and Artemis is supposed to be dark/at night, but will eventually have some color highlights (magic, afterall). We will also be adding other champions of wild nature: Swamp Thing (sense of place, protector) below Herne, and Pan (fun and shennanigans) dancing on my ribs.
